History

 

Gary & Debbie Grant (pastors), were released by Russ & Mary Doty and their pastoral team at Life to the Nations Christian Fellowship to start a work in the Berwick / Beaconsfield area of Melbourne in December 2004.

 

As well as leading the church both Gary & Debbie lead a business in Berwick which they believe helps them stay "in touch" with the community.

 

In March 2005, Friends First Church started meeting at the Beaconsfield Community Centre, and has enjoyed steady growth since then, with a great kids program and a vibrant youth group we believe the church reflects the community in which we live.

 

The photo above is a digital picture of a painting done by a friend. This painting represents a prophetic picture of the church which Jesus gave to Debbie in 2004. A wave of Jesus' glory breaking out on earth through His church; brilliant in colour, and attracting many to him.

 

As Friends First with Jesus we live as ambassadors of and for His Kingdom endeavouring to usher in the Kingdom of Heaven here on Earth, as well as building a community of friends / family - the church.
