Values always dictate a culture or an ethos, and so get a group of people together (a community) you will find what holds them together are their values that they share together. Friends First Church is a Christian Community with certain values that make it unique in some way.

Obviously it would take pages to write out all those values, and probably would be best for you to visit and get to know people to best find out what those values are. However here are some core values we hold onto:

The Bible

We believe the Bible, nothing more, nothing less. That is we don't add anything to it or take anything away, we do what it says!

Worship

We are created by God, it was because of His pleasure in creating us that we now exist. We worship Him quite naturally as a result, both corporately and as individuals. We ought to and do experience God tangibly in times of worship, seeing God inhabiting our praises.

Prayer

Intercessory prayer, or praying on behalf of others whether in our own community or in another nation.

Fellowship / Friendship

We are created to fellowship with God and one another, we are family.

Ministry

We are created to "minister" to one another as brothers / sisters in our Christian family and as ambassadors of Jesus' Kingdom to our community & beyond. We do not see "professional ministers" in the Bible but the whole church (every member) involved in some way.

Nations

We are called and commissioned to reach other people groups, whether in our immediate community or in communities abroad as we labour with Jesus building His Kingdom.
